….Day two! We woke up this morning, tired but ready to hit the roads. Rick picked us up with all our jogging strollers and gave us a ride back to where we left off 6 months prior. We unloaded our gear out by a Jack and the Box restaurant, where Rick blessed us with a send off prayer for the trip. There at the outside Jack in the Box we met Doug, a humble man who loved the Lord. We got to encourage him and pray for him and his family. We walked next door and had a bible study in the McDonald’s, and it was a solid time of fellowship. After reading, we started the first steps in a long while and very first steps for Kurt. The tires on Kurt and Jonathan’s jogging strollers were flat so we made a stop at a Shell gas station not to far down the road and re-pumped them up. It was a whopping 96 degrees in Texas compared to the 70 degree range we were used to in Pennsylvania, and we forgot sunscreen! But we managed to get to a Waffle House for lunch/dinner in Euless, Texas where we got to talk to a lot of local folk in about the journey. Continuing from there we went to a inn down the road where we met a guy who was was a believer in Jesus, and after sharing our story, he bought us a room for the night! God has been good! Not because of the free room, but because of who he is! He was good when we were dying of heat, good when we had six flat tires, and good when we were nice and cool in a room! In all things he is constant and Good!

…On day three, we made our way further towards Fort Worth, Texas. After our time reading the bible and fellowshiping we realized that Kurt had a flat tire on his jogging stroller again. Fortunately there was a gas station right next to the inn, but turned out that their air pump was our of order, we also noticed that there was a ton of mechanic shops around us and one of them filled up our tire for free. We continued down the road and ended up at the end of the day at a Sonic fast food restaurant, where the general manager let us set up camp on the property, and gave us a note to give to anyone who thought we were trespassing. That night we were thankful for God giving us undeserved favor with everyone we have been coming across in the past couple of days, and being able to talk with so many people, fellow believers who have been an incredible encouragement for these first couple of days into the trip…
