December 18 – January 13, 2015: A Warm Welcome Home

By February 4, 2015Uncategorized

…Our surprise strategy was a success! We managed to surprise both our families pretty good! We were able to spend time and be refreshed back at home for three weeks. It was a busy time but, it was a blessing for us and our families to be home for the holidays for both Christmas and New Years. We managed to catch up with a lot of our dear friends and pals. It felt good to be home and see familiar faces, sometimes we take for granted the important people that God has placed in our lives at least for me. On the trip we meet new people all the time and it’s great to see people you actually know from square one your whole life. We are truly blessed to have such a great group of people and we wouldn’t trade any of them for anything. Back at home we pretty much had a lot of busy free time spending with family and friends at coffee shops or movies and what not. We also managed to see our good old friends Jeffrey and Phil, who were previously on good portions of the trip! By the end of it, we said our heartfelt goodbyes. It was bittersweet, being sad saying goodbye to our parents and siblings but also exciting to see what God has next for next part of the trip. At all times we will praise the Lord. We were taken back to the airport where we flew back to Dallas and awaited for Dan and Stacey to pick us up for the next part of the journey….
